I created this piece without a specific destination in mind, guided only by the intention of crafting a visual sanctuary for the viewer.
The cool tones within the work represent profound opportunities for healing and rejuvenation, while the rougher, earthen textures capture a reconnection with the world and a spiritual grounding to the life experience we have been given.
Throughout the creative process, the concept of Avalon stayed at the forefront of my mind. To King Arthur and many others, Avalon was known as a hidden realm of perpetual light, restoration, and peace. Just as the creation of this piece transformed my studio into a place of serenity, I believe it will offer that same sense of connection to its future viewers and its eventual home.
*This piece was designed to be trimmed and framed to 36×60” however i’ve left the flexibility to frame/display it a few inches larger or smaller to accommodate its future collector.
